| The Function Centre has a DJ included in their Package. Why Should we Book You? Very simply the answer is quality. Function Centres shop around for the cheapest DJ they can find and they then add them as their "package DJ" whilst still making money out of the Booking. Cheapest very rarely ever equates to good quality!!. Please do not underestimate the importance of quality music and service at such an important day in your life. The "package DJ" usually has either poor quality equipment, limited music selection, poor attitude and or poor service. Check out their testimonials!!!! |
| Can We Choose our own Music? We are more than happy to play whatever music you would like played. For your convenience and as a guide to assist you with your selections we have prepared songlists of some of the major hits from the various decades. These are located on our songlists page. You can simply download these lists to your computer, open them in microsoft word, highlight the songs you would like played and email them back to us. If a particular song is not on the list just let us know it's Title and artist and we will ensure that we have it for you. If you decide to choose your music please take into consideration the various age ranges of your guests and endeavour to cater to a wide range of music tastes. Be aware that if the songs you choose are not popular and well known then people will not dance. |
| Do You Hire Out Equipment such as Karaoke Machines and DJ Gear ? NO, we do not. |
| Can we meet before the Function Date to run through our Wedding Runsheet? When we are performing MC Duties this is of vital importance to ensure that everything goes as planned for your Big Day. Accordingly we expect to have a meeting with the Bride and Groom to run through the Run Sheet and make sure we are all on the same page. If we are simply providing DJ Services then most issues can be resolved over the phone or via email with respect to the running order on the day, however should you feel more comfortable to meet before the Reception then we are happy to do so even if not MC'íng. |
| What do you wear at the Function? The last thing you want is a poorly dressed yobbo looking after your immaculately attired guests music needs. Accordingly we wear dress trousers, collared shirt, dress shoes, waistcoat and tie. We are clean shaven and well groomed. |
| Do you require a Deposit and how do we pay you? We require a $100 deposit at time of booking. This can be direct deposited to our Business Banking Account and the final balance is to be paid by similar method during the week leading up to the function. This initial deposit will be 100% refundable should you need to cancel the Booking provided we have a minimum of 6 weeks notice. Once you have confirmed a Booking we will advise our bank Account details and will send you a confirmation email once the deposit hits our Account |
| How long before the function starts do you need access to the Function Room? We generally arrive approximately 1- 2 hours before the anticipated start of the Function. This ensures we are not carrying our equipment through your guests and running into Grandma with our trolley. This ensures we are set up and soundchecked 30 minutes before the start of the function. WE DO NOT CHARGE FOR THIS EXTRA 2 HOURS SETUP TIME. |
| Do you charge extra to provide MC Services? No we do not. We figure that we are there anyway and it actually assists with the smooth running of the Reception. |
| What Audio and Lighting Equipment do you use? This depends upon the size of the venue and to a lesser degree on the number of guests. We have the availability of either Mackie Thump15, RCFART310 or Yamaha C115V Speakers which can provide numerous different configurations to ensure we can cater for any Function size from a Small Room to an Auditorium/Hall. Our Lighting comprises LEDPAR64 Cans controlled by DMX along with Dance Lights, Lasers and Fog Machine (if approved for use by Venue) |
| Do you have a Wireless Microphone Available for Speeches? Yes We do, however most reception centres generally include this in their package. We will discuss this with venue management in advance. |
| What Type of Music do you have and what sort of music do you play? We have a wide range of Genres and Artists ranging from the 50's right through to modern day Top 40. Our personal preference doesn't play any role in the music that we play preferring instead to be guided by you, your guests and whatever style keeps the guests on the Dancefloor. Most functions have a wide age range of guests so accordingly we will endeavour to cater right across the broad spectrum of music. |
| Do you Service outside the Wollongong Region? Yes we do. We have performed at functions as far south as Eden on the NSW South Coast and as far North as Narrabri. |
| Have you done a Function at XYZ Function Centre before? As you would appreciate there are hundreds of Function Rooms scattered throughout the Illawarra, South Coast, Southern Highlands and Sydney. If we havent done a function at a particular venue we will always visit the facilities well in advance to ensure we are familiar with the layout and will have discussions with the Management to cater to their specific needs.
